The Time has finally come; I can now officially reveal the line up for RAVE Freshers 2008. This year it’s time for Super RAVE, so you’re really gunner have to ask your self, are you a Hero or a Villain.
Monday 6th October
Freshers Fair
Your chance to join one of the many societies from the Board Riders and the DJ’s to the ACS and the LGBT or get free stuff from local businesses as well as the chance to see a live Taekwando display or play on the Bouncy Castle, Gladiator Joust or Bungee Run.
Be in the SU bar and on the grounds between 12:00 – 17:00 for this free event.
Fix up Look Sharp at The Lounge
Ladies and gentlemen dress up smart and be looking your finest at The Lounge Chislehurst to sample some of the local night life. Take part in the best dressed contest for your chance to win 2 tickets to London’s Fabric or just sip on exotic cocktails wile listening to the finest Soul, Indy and Electro from SU regulars DJ’s Chris and Luke (from Plus Special Guests) and your very own Head of Entertainments Chris Acton.

Tuesday 7th October
RAVEstival
Live Performances from comedians Holly Walsh and Tom Bell. Holly Walsh, winner of Chortle Best Newcomer 2008 and Tom Bell, who recently got 5 stars in the Scotsman (which is practically unheard of) for his recent shows at the Edinburgh Festival are both on the up and up; this could be your last chance to see them in such an intimate venue for such an intimate price. Plus Free Face Painting and Fortune Telling as well as 2 other acts to be announced.
Get to the SU bar early; this night is bound to fill up quickly. 19:00 – 23:00. £10 Entry
Wednesday 8th October
Walkabout with I’m a President Get me Out of Here!
Head down to Bromley’s best student night spot Walkabout and sample life the Aussie way; have a ride on the mechanical surf board to win a mystery prize if you can stay on it the longest and take advantage of the wonderful drinks deals on offer. BUT NOT ONLY THAT, you have a chance to battle your SU President and Vice for the coveted Golden Boomerang in the I’m a President Get me Out of Here challenge; be warned you’ll need a strong stomach to take part. Get down to the best in Commercial and R ‘n’ B wile the house DJ goes at it for you.
19:00 – 24:00 at Walkabout 196-198 High Street, Bromley, BR1 1HE with coaches running between Ravensbourne and Walkabout 19:00 - 23:00. £7.50 Entry
Thursday 9th October
Foam Party
Head up to the SU bar and prepare to get bubbly in the Foam Party pit and as if that weren’t enough there are free bubble pots for the first 50 people in as well the announcement of the Fershers King, the person that has come to every freshers night and thrown themselves in to it all like a crazy mo-fo; they will win an Olympus Digital Camera worth £150. That night music will be all over the place running the gambit of indy, Rock, Dance, Soul, R ‘n’ B, Funk and Pop with DJ’s Rob Brandon and Greg Wells.

Friday 10th October
KILL GREENWICH
Ravensbourne is soon moving to Greenwich, but we thought we’d get there first, so get to the collage for 18:00 get on the bus and will make our way up to the peninsular for the pub crawl of your life. We will be dividing you in to teams for the Heroes Vs Villains challenge, where you will have to complete tasks to win your team points and find out if good really does triumph over evil. We’ll end the night in club house where we’ll stay till 6am and see the sun rise.
Coaches will be leaving from the Collage gates from 19:00 sharp, there will be no return coach; however the SU team will be running people back throughout the night. £15 Entry
WEEK LONG WRIST BANDS will be sold at £40 and will give you access to all of the events with no extra charge; tickets will be on sale in the reception area from the 29th September.
